Newly listed on December 13, 2016, Magnolia Pearl Ranch is a place that defies many of the stereotypes you’d expect from a Texas Hill Country ranch. Adjectives to describe the 39-acre ranch would include shabby-chic, one-of-a-kind and eclectic in a property that melds tranquilly into its Bandera County landscape. The ranch list price is $995,000.
Magnolia Pearl Ranch’s style may not be to everyone’s taste, but there’s no denying its unique character and personality. Designed and developed by the fashion designers behind the Magnolia Pearl fashion boutique in Fredericksburg, Texas, both the interiors and exteriors exude whimsy as well as a fashionista’s attention to detail.
Designers Robin Brown and John Gray’s eye for the unique takes the shape of antique chandeliers both inside and out, clawfoot tubs, floral-engraved bathroom pedestals and kitchen counters hand-hewn from local river stone.
The ranch’s three main dwellings are themselves part of Magnolia Pearl Ranch’s unique history. The original home was built in the late 1800s, while two additional dwellings are a transplanted school cafeteria and classroom from Bandera and Medina, respectively, now decorated by a Hollywood set designer and filled with touches like a ceiling made from tin salvaged from New York City.
Outside, a tranquil setting of live oaks, pecan trees and various outdoor gazebos and bathing areas continues the sense of intimate escape. Porches, patios and pathways throughout allow space for exploration or simply mellowing out while the sun sets over the Hill Country contours.
