As the sheep are moved to their winter pasture, they pass through the main street of Ketchum, Idaho. Celebrate this twice-yearly event with traditional Basque dancing, sheepdog trials, delicious food, and a whole lot of sheep-seeing!

Sweet Potato Festival | Darlington, South Carolina

Pumpkins are usually the star crop of autumn, but in this festival, it’s all about sweet potatoes. Sample dozens of delicious dishes made from the signature starch. Once you’ve had your fill, you can check out the antique car show.

These slender, silver birds flock in large groups towards the south and make this a birdwatcher’s dream. The best place to watch them take flight en masse is Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area. More than 10,000 cranes stop there during their migration, making it a popular stop for bird watchers. However, even those who have never bird watched before will enjoy the beautiful landscape that serves as the backdrop for the majestic display.
