North Texas generally refers to the counties in the north-central part of the state, excluding those in the Texas Panhandle. It covers the metro areas of Dallas-Fort Worth and Wichita Falls and their surrounding counties. It is the state's most populous region. A total of 300,000 acres were listed for sale in Collin County recently; the overall value of all Collin County land and rural real estate for sale was around $2 billion. Collin County ranks fifth based on the combined acreage of land for sale among the 254 counties in the Lone Star State. Celina had the most land for sale.
