Fillmore County offers a mix of small country towns and wide-open fields of corn, hay and other agricultural staples. The county seat of Geneva features a number of notable 19th-century homes and buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Along with two public fishing spots at the Bruning Dam recreation areaand Lone Star Lake, Fillmore County features five wildlife management areas that allows for the hunting of dove, pheasant, rabbit and waterfowl. Morphy Lagoon Waterfowl Production Area is a popular locla birding spot covering 80 wetland acres and nine upland acres. Fillmore County ranks 48th out of 93 counties in Nebraska for the total number of acres of land currently advertised for sale. Geneva had the most land for sale.
