Grant County, Arkansas Homestead Land For Sale

Named after then-President Ulysses S. Grant, Grant County has its share of Civil War- and Reconstruction-era history. Located to the south of Little Rock in a rural landscape of rolling, pine-covered hills, the county is centered around the city of Sheridan. Threaded by a number of scenic rivers and creeks, including the Saline River, the county offers some excellent fishing as well as canoeing and floating. In places like Jenkins Ferry State Park, dense forests line the banks and are home to various species of fish and wildlife. County anglers can cast their line for fish including bass, Arkansas walleye, channel catfish and panfish. Hunting is also a popular local pastime. A total of nearly 4,000 acres were listed for sale in Arkansas's Grant County recently; the value of all Grant County farms and ranches for sale was nearly $27 million. Grant County ranks 37th in the state for the total number of acres of land currently advertised for sale. Sheridan featured the most land for sale. Grant County is Arkansas's 47th largest county (632 square miles). It's located in the Timberlands Arkansas region of Arkansas.
