The Texas Panhandle gets its name for its proximity to the handle-shaped portion of its neighbor, Oklahoma. It is the state's least populated region. Farming activities in Hall County generate annual revenues of $8 million, most of which is from crops. Hall County is Texas's 153rd biggest county (904 square miles).
