Milam County has a large agricultural economy, with 1,909 farms recorded in the county during the latest U.S. Census. Farming activities in Milam County generate annual revenues of $5 million, the majority of which comes from livestock products. Milam County is the 76th biggest county (1,021 square miles) in Texas. It's located in the Blacklands South Texas region of the state.
