About Northeast Texas
Northeast Texas includes the Pine Belt region that accounts for nearly all of the commercial timber production in the state. Although filled with extensive hardwood timber, this is an area of valleys and creeks that's framed by two major waterways: the Sabine and the Red rivers. Abutting Oklahoma and Arkansas, the region takes on a distinctly Southern feel that's reflective of its neighboring states. Many of the rivers and creeks here feed into swampy bayous that stand tall with picturesque bald cypress and Spanish moss. Of the about $2 billion in rural land and property currently available for sale in the Northeast Texas region, Red River County has the most acres of land available for sale. Based on data from the Land Network Comparable Sales program, Marion County recorded the most recent sales activity. Texarkana had the most farms and ranches for sale among cities located in the Northeast Texas region. Looking for more land and rural real estate for sale
