About Northeast Texas
Northeast Texas includes the Pine Belt region that accounts for nearly all of the commercial timber production in the state. Although filled with extensive hardwood timber, this is an area of valleys and creeks that's framed by two major waterways: the Sabine and the Red rivers. Abutting Oklahoma and Arkansas, the region takes on a distinctly Southern feel that's reflective of its neighboring states. Many of the rivers and creeks here feed into swampy bayous that stand tall with picturesque bald cypress and Spanish moss. Of the $2 billion in rural land and property currently listed for sale in the Northeast Texas region, Red River County has the most acres of land available for sale. Lamar County registered the most sales activity based on sales recorded in this area through the Land Network Comparable Sales program recently. Texarkana had the most farms, ranches, and rural real estate for sale among cities located in the Northeast Texas region. Looking for more land and rural real estate for sale
