The Texas Panhandle gets its name for its proximity to the handle-shaped portion of its neighbor, Oklahoma. It is the state's least populated region. A total of around 100,000 acres were listed for sale in Potter County recently, representing a total value of around $63 million in Potter County ranches, farms, hunting land and other rural land and acreage for sale. Potter County ranks 134th out of 254 counties in the Lone Star State for the total acreage of land currently advertised for sale. Amarillo featured the most land for sale. Potter County is the 125th biggest county (921 square miles) in Texas. It's located in the Panhandle Texas region of the state.
