Sammy Young was a lifelong resident of the small community of St. Clair operating the local country store alongside his family for many years as well as being a well known farmer all his life.

Sammy was born and raised in Hawkins County and worked these farms his entire life. There is neither a rock nor tree on these properties that Sammy did not recognize. He was married to Wanda for 54 years and together they earned a living raising cattle and tobacco.

Many people in the community between the ages of 15-70 have worked for him on this farm. Sammy was a fixture of the St. Clair Community. It would be his wish that his equipment be used to carry on the legacy of family farming in East Tennessee.

United Country Clinch Mountain Realty & Auction will be offering Sammy's collection of farm machinery, several rolls and square bales of hay, and his pickup truck at auction on September 21, 2013 beginning at 10:00 AM.
