Athena, OR 97813 - Umatilla County

The Athena Crop and Range Parcels consist of a mixture of current crop land, fallow farm ground, expired CRP ground, current CRP fields, and pasture lands. The total is approximately 1,200 acres that is located 6.5 miles southeast of Athena and 20 miles east of Pendleton in north eastern Oregon.

There are 10 tax lots ranging in size from 16 acres to 373 acres at elevations from 1,600 ft. to 2,800 ft. above sea level. The farm ground portion of the property generally lies on gently sloping land in the foothill region of the Blue Mountains. All of the properties are deeded land within the boundaries of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. There are no improvements on any of the parcels.

Current uses of the property include wheat production, grazing, and hunting for upland game birds and deer.

There are 958 +/- acres of tillable acreage and 237 +/- acres of pasture.

All of the tillable acreage lies within a 20+ inch rainfall zone. That, combined with the soil types makes the bulk of the land suitable for intermittent annual cropping.
