Varying topography consists of gently rolling hills to rugged arroyos to sub-irrigated meadows along Cottonwood lined Ute Creek. Grasses across the ranch are mostly grama types and buffalo with some juniper and cholla found scattered. The ranch reportedly carries 400 cows. Interesting geologic features are seen throughout the ranch.

RECREATION ON THE RANCH

RimRock Ranch provides an excellent habitat for hunting and fishing. Elk, Deer and Antelope have been taken on the ranch and many other species of wildlife make their home along the creek, across the grass and into the arroyos.

RANCH WATER RESOURCES, FENCING AND ROADS

The RimRock Ranch has an abundance of water with approximately 5 miles of Ute Lake Creek, two wells at the headquarters and several other wells and dirt tanks. Fencing on the ranch is average in general to good in some areas.

The Headquarters of the ranch is located on an all-weather county road 2.8 miles off NM 102.
