The Brothers OR Ranch is a unique property located about 45 minutes east of Bend, OR. It consists of 12,236 deeded acres, 6,780 acres BLM, and 716 acres of State Land. This block of land is all fenced, and the only stock water is on the deeded land. The property is fenced and cross-fenced, allowing cattle to graze on 11 different pastures. Plus, there is an additional parcel of leased land on the east side consisting of about 1,500 acres. There are a total of 12 stock wells and pipelines to all of the different pastures. Improvements include a new set of corrals and an older home in need of repair, along with a shop. There is electricity at the house and at the corrals. Three of the wells have electricity, and the rest are run with a generator or solar. The grass is predominantly Idaho Fescue, with some crested wheat grass, and other native grasses. Current owner has been running 600 plus pairs from April into October, depending on the year. It could also be run as a year round ranch with minimal winter feeding or using supplement. Of course, the number of cows would be reduced. There is an abundance of hay raised just 20 miles to the east and you could purchase feeder hay if needed. Current property taxes are $1,211.58.
