The Red Springs Bottoms tract (Listing #4249) is a 129-acre tract featuring bottomland hardwoods, county road frontage and Terre Noire Creek frontage. The property is conveniently located between Little Rock and Texarkana. Kingwood Forestry performed an inventory of merchantable timber in September, 2011. Based on the inventory of approximately 96 acres, estimated merchantable timber volumes include 947 tons of Red Oak sawtimber, 201 tons of gum sawtimber, 1,873 tons of miscellaneous and post oak sawtimber, 449 tons of cypress sawtimber, and 2,477 tons of hardwood pulpwood. The remaining acreage is not forested and is ready for replanting with pine or hardwoods. The rich hardwood bottoms, sloughs and creeks provide great fishing and some of the best habitat around for deer, turkeys, waterfowl and furbearers, making this tract great for outdoor recreation.
