Indian Wells Ranch is located in Brewster County on Bullis Gap Road, a county maintained road. The ranch is about twelve miles southwest of Hwy. 90. The lodge on the ranch has eight bedrooms and six baths, living/dining area and a large kitchen. It is not real fancy but is very comfortable. The lodge sits on a hill with great views of the mountains of Big Bend National Park and northern Mexico. Indian Wells Ranch is very rugged and scenic with Brindle Canyon, Maxon Creek and Horse Canyon running through the ranch. There are numerous rock shelters and Indian mounds found along and in these canyons. Vegetation on the hills and canyons includes mesquite, sage, cedar, desert willow, black brush and a variety of other native brush and cacti. Game on the ranch includes mule deer, javelina, quail, dove, varmits and mountain lions. The ranch is priced at $125/acre, owners would consider financing with a twenty percent down payment.
