Linden, AL 36748 - Marengo County

The Chickasaw Bogue tract is an extremely affordable recreational property in a top-notch hunting area approximately 6 miles outside of Linden in Marengo county. It features large food plots, a power line, some scattered hardwoods, nice natural regeneration, and a large island surrounded by Chickasaw Bogue(creek). You will be able to enjoy some of the best hunting the Black Belt has to offer, including waterfowl.

There are three large food plots that have been planted for this deer season. You could possibly plant some additional plots on the power line right-of-way both to the east and west of the shooting platform. This would give you three food plots to watch at the same time. There are two shooting platforms. The one on the power line has a shooting house attached to it. These 18' platforms are large, welded, and built unlike anything I have ever seen. They were built on site and cost the current owner over $5000 each and that does not include the shooting house.

A wet weather stream runs east to west through the middle of the property. On the north side of the tract but south of the bogue is a scattering of some mature hardwoods. The natural regeneration appears to be 6-8 years old and is coming in nicely with both hardwoods and pine. The island on the northern side of the property is over 50 acres. Imagine the deer hunting and waterfowl opportunities here. The owner states that it has a large amount of mature timber.

Unfortunately, the aerial map is not up to date and does not show all of the improvements the current owner has made. Physical access is good and has been used by the current owner for over five years but it is not deeded.
