Birch Creek Ranch, which comprises approx. 140 acres, is located

about 25 miles East of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and about 65 miles

southwest of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is in the Caribou Mountain

range. There are 5 building permits available for this property.

Access

Birch Creek Road, a county-maintained road going through the North

side, gives year-round access. Power is available within 1/2 mile.

Highway 26 is only about 3 miles to the northeast of the ranch, with an

alternate access to the northwest within 6 miles of pavement. It comes

out near the Ririe Reservoir.

Unique Terrain

The ranch is mountainous with an elevation varying from 5800 feet to

nearly 6300 feet.

Trees and Vegetation

Most of the trees on the ranch are Quaken Aspen with a few groves of

Douglas Fir and Junipers. Numerous varieties of shrubs thrive on the

ranch as well as several kinds of wild flowers.

Creek Water

Birch Creek, a year-round stream, flows through the ranch. Brook

trout occupy the stream, providing fishing opportunities.

Wildlife

All kinds of wildlife native to the area can be found on the ranch,

including elk, moose, deer, bear and mountain lion; smaller animals

such as beaver, coyote and bobcats are here, also.

Birds of prey are also plentiful.

Structures

There is a 300 foot well, a septic, and a large storage building on the

ranch.

Nearby Recreation

The South Fork of the Snake River, famous for Cutthroat Trout fly

fishing, is only 20 minutes away. Heise Hot Springs (on the river) has

a swimming pool, golf course, cabins, restaurant and float trips.

Palisades Reservoir is only 45 minutes away with unlimited boating.

Jackson Hole and whitewater rafting is about 1 1/2 hour drive to the

East. Ririe Reservoir, a body of water 8 miles long is just a few miles

from Birch Creek Ranch, giving opportunity for great boating and

waterskiing.

Yellowstone National Park is about a 2 hour drive to the North - Grand

Teton National Park is about an hour and a half to the Northeast.

Craters of the Moon is about 2 1/2 hours to the West.

Grand Targhee Ski Resort near Driggs is 57 miles from the Birch

Creek Road. Jackson Hole, Wyoming is 62 miles, and Kelly Canyon

Ski Resort is 15 miles from Birch Creek Road.
