Just below majestic Duncan's Peak in southern Mendocino and less than a mile from the aptly named town of Hopland on a quiet stretch of Highway 101 is this pastoral setting which is home to a historic Hop kiln built in 1947. During the late 1800's through mid 1900's, thousands of nearby acres were planted to Hops by the local farmers. Housed in the solid redwood hop kiln, this winery and tasting room bring you back to an early California time and easier way of life, where you always feel welcome and at ease. Stepping up to the second floor tasting room with views of the valley, visitors can smell the woodsy aroma and see the clear grain of the now rare heart redwood from which the structure was built. Tastings take place at an old fashioned chest high bar. Covered picnic area, outdoor kitchen, bocce court, seasonal stream, ample parking that can accommodate RV's. The winery comes with an unlimited case production license and 4 homes. The location and zoning allow for a variety of uses.
