DESCRIPTION: This 172± acre timber tract is located within the Siuslaw National Forest along Randall Saddle, 15± miles southeast of Toledo. There is an estimated 4,243 MBF of primarily 80± year-old Douglas fir, with some 50± year old red alder on 117± acres. (See Supplemental Information Package for timber inventory.) The balance of the tract contains 48.5± acres of 27 year old well stocked Douglas fir, and 6± acres of 7 year old western hemlock. The Douglas fir site index is 135 to 137, or site Class 1. The topography ranges from moderate to steep slopes with a large bench area in the center of the tract. USFS Road 31, a paved forest service road, provides access from Harlan and Hilltop Roads to the southwest portion of the property.
