Located in north central Prince Georges County, Virginia the magnificent plantation known as Flowerdew Hundred offers tremendous privacy being bordered by over 3 miles of James River frontage to the North and East, and the James River National Wildlife Refuge to the Southwest. Rich in history, the records for this land date to 1618 with the patent by Sir George Yeardley, the Governor and Captain General of Virginia who named this property in honor of his wife, Temperance Flowerdew. It was on this property where he constructed the first wind driven grist mill (windmill) in British America.
