The property has been developed for whitetail deer hunting. There are 3 big platform stands that will stay with the property. Some of the property has been selectively cut over the last few years providing excellent habitat for whitetails and ruffed grouse. The property has a mix of mostly high land with some low land amongst the rolling hills. There is an oval shaped road that provides fantastic access to most of the property. Several trails run from the road to other parts of the property. It would be relatively easy to put in a pond or two, and several small food plot areas have already been established. The Property is about a half an hour northwest of Deer River, and very close to several lakes, including Sand Lake, Bowstring Lake, and Lake Winnibigoshish. The DNR dock for Sand Lake is located about a block south of the property. Lake Winni provides world class walleye, perch, and northern pike fishing. Other area lakes provide opportunites for fishing and duck hunting.
