Nawakwa Lake is located in Alger County just minutes from M77 and a short drive to Grand Marais. Known as a fabulous fishery for

walleye, this gem of an inland lake is about 370 acres in size with depths to 37 feet. There is a 26 acre Island in the lake reputed to be

home to an active Eagle Nest. Loons, ducks and geese frequent the lake along with the Eagles. This is pure Michigan up north
