The Hunton Ranch has a diverse, very desirable mix of native grasses and forbs. Approximately 81 acres of the property was formerly in CRP and is now regrowing a stand of smaller mesquite. The remainder of the property has a more dense canopy of mesquite with scattered hackberry and other hardwoods.

A draw runs through the western portion of the property. Four wildlife foodplots have been established and are generally planted in winter wheat for game.

Hunting/Recreation:

The property is located in an area with good numbers of whitetail deer and feral hogs are common. Some turkey have been seen on and around the property and likely frequent the wheat fields. Generally this is a good area for bobwhite quail. Migratory birds, such as dove and ducks are very common.
