Owner's residence

The owner's residence is situated on a bluff that overlooks the meadows and commands a 270-degree view that is unparalleled in the valley. With five bedrooms, this 4,500 square foot home has an attractive entrance with flagstone, wooden decking and a double front door. The living room has dramatic views overlooking the beautiful lush meadows, with mountain peaks and rocks cliffs framing the panorama. On the left is the dining room and a large kitchen and to the right is the master bedroom suite--both have extensive decks which flank the living room. There are two bedrooms in each of the two wings of the house. Each has a large common area with a shared bathroom. The lodge is heated with forced air by a propane boiler.

The three guest cabins and apartment have been improved so that they are comfortable with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, full kitchens and living areas. They are setup to be winterized in the off-season but are each fully heated to allow for year-round occupancy.

Cottonwood Cabin: A Four Bedroom Lodge with attached Living Area

Approximately 1,800 square feet, this four bedroom lodge includes a master bedroom suite with raised fireplace and newly renovated bathroom, two small bedrooms that share a bath and a fourth larger bedroom with its own bath. Each bedroom suite has its own separate entrance. The living room and dining area complete the building with a native stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and wood floors. There is also a full kitchen-utility room. The Cottonwood cabin is graced by a covered flagstone patio and a seasonal pond. The heat source throughout is electric baseboard.

The Bunkhouse: A Second Guest Cabin

Located at the lower end of the building compound this dwelling is approximately 900 square feet. It has been modernized and contains a master bedroom with bathroom, a second bedroom with bath, a full kitchen and a living room. There is a nice full-length deck that overlooks the lower pond. The heat source is by propane in-wall heaters.

Old Ranger Station: A Third Guest House

Part of this cabin was the original Forest Service Ranger Station for the area built in 1903. The original section of the house is hand-hewn log with an addition of log sliding. It contains three bedrooms, a living room with stone fireplace, dining room, full kitchen, utility room with office, two bathrooms and an attached greenhouse. There is a new wood-fire stove for heating with both electric and propane heat as a backup. It has a large and nicely landscaped yard.

Manager's Apartment

Next to the old ranger station, there is a one-bedroom apartment with a complete kitchen, living room, and bathroom.

Other Improvements

The ranch has a metal shop building, a classic gambrel horse barn in good repair with a new roof planned in 2014, and a number of loafing sheds and storage buildings, one of which has been remodeled as a children's playhouse. There is also a set of corrals and rounded pen.
