AREA HISTORY

In 1953, Mexican President Adolfo Ruiz Cortines and President Dwight D. Eisenhower dedicated Falcon Dam, and created an 85,000-acre reservoir known as Lake Falcon. With the creation of the reservoir, the federal government took possession of all lands adjacent to the reservoir that fell below 307 ft elevation as low lands. The property owners have legal use of the low lands, which is approximately 1,200 acres for this ranch.
