Location: This home on 35 acres is located approximately 12 miles from Baker City, Or.

It is about 3 ½ miles from the main highway heading south on a county road.

Wildlife: There is an elk feeding station that can be seen from the home. Hundreds of

elk can be seen from the house in the winter as they come to be fed by the

ODFW. Elk and deer can be seen on the property also. The owners have taken

many pictures of the elk and deer from the house. Because it is an elk calving

area there are strict restrictions on building homes in this area. It is a unique

part of the country and a special area.

Improvements: The log home is made of milled juniper logs with the roof of fir logs.

The juniper in a log home is rare and the juniper smell in the home is fantastic!

There is 2800 on the main floor with an 800 loft. The basement is 2000.

This makes the home 5600 with all of the levels. There are three bathrooms,

two bedrooms, kitchen, office, great room, and a two car garage.(the garage is

not counted in the square footage.) You can make all of the bedrooms you want

by adding them in the basement or the loft. It is heated by a wood stove or a

propane furnace with propane fireplaces also in the house. Hot water is in a setup

that keeps it flowing through the house so it is always available very quickly.

Doors are extra wide. Ceilings are open with open log areas and have fans at

the ridge. Brass and copper fixtures are prevalent throughout the home. The

deck is 85 long and will be finished before and sale is completed. The balusters

on the deck are copper. The flooring of the deck is a type of trex deck. Floors of

the home are tile and carpet. The inside of the log home is not the typical dark,

heavy wood atmosphere. There are a lot of windows and the open roof areas

make it light and airy. You do not feel closed in or shadowed because of the log

rooms. It is bright and cheerful to be there. The roof is extremely sturdy with

7 layers of materials to keep it dry and stout. In fact the whole home is very, very

well done. In the majority of log homes there will be settling and cracking with

problems arising from those situations. This home has been here since 2004 and

has not had these problems. It is extremely well built and finished.

The shop is 36 x 48 with three large doors. It is plumbed for septic and water.

It is also juniper log built. At one side of it is a place for an RV with the

appropriate set up for that. It has a 100 amp service.
