Tinsman, ARCalhoun County

The Tinsman West Tract is +/-40 acres located approximately 3.25 miles north of the town of Tinsman and about 1.25 miles west of Highway 274. The tract is accessed by a network of gravel forestry roads and short woods roads across adjoining timberland owners which offers good physical access to the

tract.

Tract Descriptions: The Tinsman East Tract is described as the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of the Fractional Section 18, Township 12 South, Range 12 West, Calhoun County, Arkansas.

The tract has generally flat topography with silt loam soils and tributaries of Whitewater Creek passing through the edges of the tracts. The tract has been recently clear-cut harvested in the summer of 2009 leaving an open site that can be site prepared and planted in the coming season. The bottomland nature of the property and surrounding hardwood timber stands offer good opportunity for hunting and recreation. The open site provides wide views for wildlife viewing and ample open ground for establishment of wildlife food plots. Soils consist of predominantly Guyton and Amy silt loam soils with good site productivity for hardwood timber growth and opportunity for pine timber growth on areas of the property. Many surrounding landowners have bedded and planted tracts with pine plantations.
