Description

The 40 acre Bear Creek Recreation Tract is located at the southwest corner of Jefferson County, along the southeast slopes of Stephenson Mountain, within the Bear Creek drainage. The tract is primarily steep, with a minor amount of flat topography in the southeast corner. It is primarily a junipercovered hillside, and includes sagebrush and some grass.

There is no legal access to the tract. The tract is surrounded by private lands. There is physical access through private lands from West Branch Road on the north side of Highway 26. The dirt road is behind a locked gate and extends 5.5 miles along Bear Creek to the southern portion of the tract.
