ATI #333 will be sold by lump sum sealed bid on Friday, August 22, 2008, at 3:00pm. Contains 40 acres, more or less, Located three and a half miles south of Falcon near Dorcheat Bayou. Terrain is gently rolling. Access is with permission on woods road across adjacent landowners. Tract was chemically site-prepped (except for 18-acre Streamside Management Zone [SMZ]) and burned in 2006, then planted in February 2007 with 2nd Generation Atlantic Coast Weyerhaeuser seedlings. Plantation was sprayed with Arsenal-Oust tank mix for herbaceous control in April 2007. The 22-acre pine plantation is well-stocked. According to Anthony Timberlands’ records, the 18-acre SMZ contains an estimated 35,000 board feet of hardwood sawtimber (mostly oak), plus 900 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Soils consist of silt loams and sandy loams with site index for loblolly pine averaging 82 feet on fifty year base. The tract offers excellent hunting/ wildlife viewing opportunities and is not currently leased for hunting.
