Old Firehouse Hill was the original homeplace of Charlie Gasch, one of Castletons largest landowners and most community spirited citizens. He built the old farmhouse and then realizing the community needed a fire department, he erected the original Castleton Firehouse adjacent to his home. Now the farmhouse and old firehouse have been remodeled, restored and repurposed as a fantastic family compound with a pool, pond, lovely landscaping and lush lawns. It is quiet, private and the night sky is aglow with the milky way.

The original c. 1912 farmhouse has been enlarged to accommodate a gourmet kitchen, generous great room and outdoor spaces that beckon with gardens, shade and cool breezes.
