The Tranquility Ranch is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Casper and consists of 28,311.85 deeded acres, 640 private lease acres, 3,440.70 State of Wyoming lease acres, and 13,438.17 BLM lease acres for a total of approximately 45,831 contiguous acres. The ranch is easily accessed by traveling west of Casper on US Highway 20-26; then turning north onto Bucknum Road (County Road 125) for approximately four miles which leads to the southern boundary of the ranch. Historically, the owners have run 800 to 900 cows year-round with supplemental feeding in the winter. Ample water is provided throughout the ranch by submersible wells to stock tanks, windmills, reservoirs, and several miles of live water. The improvements on the ranch include two 1,554 sq. ft. two-story homes each with covered front porches and a deck along the back, both built in 2001. Other improvements include a 3,120 sq. ft. Quonset; a horse barn; cattle barns; and a very good set of cattle working facilities featuring a scale, alley, working tub, and hydraulic squeeze chute as well as a similar system for working calves. The topography and terrain of the ranch provides excellent habitat for wildlife including mule deer, antelope, and upland game birds.
