This secluded recreational getaway is one of a kind with approximately 1 1/2 miles of the pristine Malheur River. The river was designated as a Wild & Scenic waterway in 1988. The river also hosts redband, brook and bull trout for the fishing enthusiast. Besides the scenic waterway, the 480 acres is covered with Ponderosa Pine, of which some is old growth, quaking aspen and willow trees. The land is bordered by the Malheur Forest and BLM wilderness study area. Fenced in with the 480 acres is 320 acres of State of Oregon property and approximately 280 acres of BLM land of which all has not had any cattle grazing on it for decades, making the water quality very clear. The acreage qualifies for 2 LOP tags and large game in the area is Rocky Mountain Elk, mule deer and an occasional antelope.
