State Hwy 51, Gurdon, AR 71743 - Clark County

The Hwy 51 Tract (#03019-03460), which contains approximately 49 acres, is located in the southern part of Clark County, Arkansas, about 4.5 miles southwest of Gurdon, AR (North 33.86778, West 93.198739). Access is available with the western boundary of the tract running along AR-Hwy 51. The property maps were drawn off as described in the deed, but an old fence and painted land line seems to run due west from the northeast corner out to the highway. The majority of the tract is very flat in topography and was once maintained as an open field. The McNeeley creek system runs along the eastern portion of the tract where the timber type is more predominate to hardwood. Almost 30 acres are stocked with mostly hardwood pulpwood and scattered sawlogs. Some utilities exist along AR-Hwy 51 for camp/home site potential within the Gurdon School District. According to the USDA NRCS soil survey information the tract is based upon an assortment of sandy loams and silt loams, which give an excellent weighted average site index of 92.8 feet for loblolly pine (base age 50 years).
