The Trophy Mountain Ranch is located on the northern end of Jackson County near the Colorado / Wyoming border approximately 15 miles northwest of Cowdrey. Set at the base of the Independent Mountains in Routt National Forest, the 490 acre +/- ranch is comprised of mountainous terrain, winding crystal clear streams, natural parks and thick timber consisting of pine, aspen, spruce and fir. Currently there is a privately owned elk herd under a double eight foot high fence on the ranch. The Trophy Mountain herd contains some of the largest trophy bull elk in North America.
