Access

The ranch is accessed by county road and also fronts State Highway 112.

Elevation, Topography, Vegetation

Sanctuary ranch sits at an elevation of about 7,000 feet and has rolling juniper, pinyon, and sagebrush-covered hills interspersed with open valleys. To the west rises a steep bluff making a natural boundary on the BLM.

Improvements

The ranch has some old corrals and an old barn that with a little work can be functional. It is fully fenced with fair to good barbed wire fences.

Hunting

Sanctuary Ranch sits right along the line between GMU 5a and 5b sitting entirely in unit 5a. The ranch gets its name because the topography creates the perfect secluded hideaway for game. Deer and elk us the ranch for protection and forage. Currently, the ranch has received 1 bull and 1 cow voucher and 2 rifle and 2 bow vouchers for deer. There were 2 very nice bulls taken on neighboring ranches in 2020 that were in the 330-370 class. Tremendous deer are taken in the area every year.

Recreation

Sanctuary Ranch offers owners the ability to enjoy the solitude and peaceful ranching lifestyle as well as many outdoor activities without ever leaving the ranch. There are also multitudes of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the ranch.
