Big Timber Lodge is located on the southern tip of Raspberry Island, 12 miles northeast of Anton Larsen Bay on Kodiak Island, and is accessible by boat/air. Encompassing 55 acres of pristine old growth Sitka Spruce in a protected cove with excellent all-day southern exposure and ocean frontage, this is truly a one-of-a-kind property. The main lodge is constructed of local Sitka Spruce milled on-site using a Lucas 827 Sawmill. The Lodge consists of 2,400 square feet of space includes 2 master bedroom suites with private baths, 2 guest rooms upstairs in the loft, guest bathroom, reading area, full kitchen outfitted with all stainless steel appliances, a dining room with seating for 16, a gathering room with panoramic ocean and mountain views, and an entryway/mudroom. Additionally there are 3 guest cabins with full bathrooms in each and enough space to accommodate up to 12 guests total. Furnishings, mattresses and all linens are included for a turnkey operation. There is a DEC approved septic system, spring-fed well, and 2 acres of fenced yard (solar powered electric fence). A 10X20 greenhouse with raised garden beds, a wood-fired Banya, a fish processing shed with freezers and commercial vacuum sealer, and several other outbuildings are additional features of this extraordinary property. Big Timber Charters includes permits, a 30' landing craft, several skiffs, and equipment. Everything needed to continue a successful and lucrative charter business. With nearly year-round fishing available, some of the species caught are King Salmon, Red Salmon, Silver Salmon, Halibut and Rockfish. In addition to world-class fishing, this property offers opportunities for guided duck hunting, wildlife viewing, photography, and unguided hunting and transport.
