Inspiration for the Creole Cottage evolved from historic buildings and dwellings in the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. In order to capitalize on the breathtaking views, the designer investigated what architectural vernacular would favor the main living spaces on the top floor to enhance the views. The dual concepts of Gulf Coast and Vastu architecture gave a design template that allowed for optimal layout of rooms that would enhance well-being and follow principles of nature. There is a mathematical center of the home that symbolizes Silence and non-activity; paying homage to the peaceful experience of living in harmony with nature. The initial inspiration resulted in a house of joy and beauty; a place to share & celebrate life. Welcome home.
