Description

The 86 acre Limpy Creek Timber Tract is located ten miles west of Grants Pass, one and a half miles west of the Rogue River, and just north of Limpy Creek and Limpy Creek Road. There is physical access to the northeast corner but no legal access. The Oregon Department of Forestry obtained a temporary access agreement for timber sales in the 1980s. There is an estimated 155 MBF consisting of 65% Douglasfir, 27% sugar pine and 8% ponderosa pine located on 60 acres, primarily in the east half of the tract. Location

Township 36 South, Range 7 West, Lot 3 and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 16. From Grants Pass, take US199 (Redwood Highway) west. About .5 miles east of Wilderville, take a right onto Riverbanks Road. At 4.5 miles, turn left onto Limpy Creek Road (NFD 2800). At about 1.2 miles, parcel will be to north (right), approximately 150 yards uphill. A woods road that provides access to the parcel near the northeast corner is gated and located at Limpy Creek Road. There is no bridge or culvert over the creek. It is forded in the summer and normally inaccessible in winter.
