This 960 acres more or less of irrigated farmland is located in a large area of principally corn, milo and wheat producing irrigated farms with alfalfa, soybeans, cotton and sunflowers being some of the very viable crop options for the area.
The property is located on FM 287 and is equipped with the following irrigation equipment:
1. The West ½ of Section 49 has two irrigation wells and one ¼ mile sprinkler (formally towable but being used currently as a stationary sprinkler).
The owner’s son states that one of the wells currently is not equipped with a pump but is useable, is ready for a pump to be installed and is tied into the current irrigation system (all irrigation wells on this ½ section and the adjoining section 48 are tied together with 50lb. PVC underground pipe).
The second well on this ½ section is equipped with a turbine pump powered by a 454 ci Chevrolet natural gas engine with a 12KW generator to produce electricity to propel the sprinkler.
The ¼ mile Reinke sprinkler is thought to be a late 80’s, early 90’s model (is owned by the current custom operator of the property and could possibly be purchased from him), is nozzled at 400 GPM and is equipped with long drops spaced on 60” centers and 11.2 x 38 (tall) wheels and tires.
Section 48 has three irrigation wells all equipped with turbine pumps and natural gas engines. One of the wells was drilled 5/6/04, was thought to produce approximately 1,000 GPM at the time, is equipped with a turbine pump powered by a 3306T Caterpillar natural gas engine with an 18KW generator to produce energy for the electric motor which propels the hydraulic pump to propel the sprinkler.
As stated earlier, these three irrigation wells are tied together with the two irrigation wells on the West ½ of Section 49.
The ½ mile T & L sprinkler (thought to be a 1995 model) is nozzled at 1450 GPM and is equipped with long drops spaced on 60” centers and 11.2 x 38 (tall) wheels and tires.
