Huspa Plantation is located in Beaufort County, along the banks of Huspa and Field Creek, between Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. The main entrance consist of moss draped live oaks, many of which date back to the 1800's , the tidal creeks that surround this property on three sides provide buffers creating a very private setting and a natural oasis of beauty . The main house has an open floor design with large glass windows overlooking Huspa Creek encapsulating the natural beauty outdoors and bringing it inside. The residential design and outdoor vista was the handy work of the nationally recognized landscape architect Robert Marvin. The 4500 sq. ft. house was built in 1979 by Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Jones Jr. The attention to detail and quality of material is apparent; the interior is made up of natural wood tones including local cypress, low county heart pine and California cedar. In addition, there are several supportive outbuildings including a maintenance shed, horse stables, a manager's house, airplane hangar and a grass airstrip (3500 ft.) capable of accommodating small aircraft.
