This property was developed by Dr. Bill McAllister on the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains about 35 miles south of the Columbia River near the historic community of Wamic, Oregon. Dr. McAllister assembled and developed approximately 1800 acres into an operating ranch known as McAllister Ranches and a wildlife preserve called Pheasant Ridge, nestled between the timbered Cascade Mountains to the west and the open high desert of central Oregon to the east providing spectacular contrasting views. McAllister Ranches with its purposefully enhanced wildlife habitat was designed to provide a limited number of strategically placed private estate sites amid hundreds of acres of dedicated open space. Located along a natural fly-way, with a myriad of beautifully designed and carefully constructed lakes, ponds, and canals. This area enjoys visiting migratory song birds and water fowl along with raptors, wild turkey and other resident birds. Come enjoy the privacy, recreational opportunities, open space, views, and wildlife!
