Demographics/History: Goliad is the third oldest municipality in Texas and is rich in Texas history. It was settled by the Spaniards in the 16th century first named Santa Dorotea changed to Goliad in 1829. Following the Texas Revolution of 1836, Sam Houston granted four leagues of land to Goliad in 1844. The Courthouse Square Historic District is one of the most complete examples of early Texas settlements.

Wildlife: This ranch has good hunting potential.
